Are you a senior accountant or accounting manager who thrives where financial strategy meets physical production? Do you enjoy getting beneath the surface of inventory flows, operational bottlenecks, and financial reporting to drive real efficiency?
Our client, a premier designer and manufacturer of high-performance consumer products, is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead their financial functions.
This is not a passive line-item role - it’s a hands-on position built for a finance leader who wants autonomy, visibility with senior executive leadership, and the opportunity to optimize end-to-end ERP workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Why Apply?
- Direct access to executive decision-makers with the operational freedom to overhaul legacy workflows.
- Work alongside passionate engineers and craftspeople building world-class manufactured goods.
- A stable, high-reputation business model combining localized manufacturing with global distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily general ledger functions, month-end and year-end closing cycles, balance sheet reconciliations, and executive financial reporting.
- Drive liquidity tracking, daily/weekly cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and short-term capital visibility.
- Oversee AR operations and credit management, partnering with sales and fulfillment to evaluate credit limits and resolve order-release bottlenecks.
- Partner across production and supply chain teams to troubleshoot ERP workflow exceptions, clear order suspense queues, and streamline internal controls.
- Lead audit readiness and coordination, while assisting with annual operational budgeting and operational cost analyses.
- Manage multi-state US sales tax filings, quarterly royalty schedules, and corporate expense administration (Concur/card programs).
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing, assembly, or distribution setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field. CPA or CMA designation is highly regarded.
- Deep expertise with manufacturing ERP platforms (e.g., Infor, Epicor, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel modeling capabilities. Data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau) are a strong bonus.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting concepts, bill of materials (BOM), WIP, and multi-channel revenue workflows.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring staff, improving cross-departmental communications, and modernizing manual financial processes.
