📢 We're Hiring – Payroll Specialist | 6-Month Contract
📍 Location: Mississauga, ON
📅 Duration: 6-Month Contract
⏰ Hours: 35 paid hours per week
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Canadian payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of multi-provincial payroll regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time.
- Manage payroll for employees across multiple Canadian provinces.
- Calculate and process salaries, deductions, taxable benefits, adjustments, and final payments.
- Ensure compliance with CRA requirements and provincial employment legislation.
- Prepare statutory remittances, T4s, ROEs, and year-end payroll documentation.
- Reconcile payroll registers, payroll accounts, and related reports.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in full-cycle Canadian payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Knowledge of multi-provincial payroll, including Ontario and Quebec.
- Experience with CPP, EI, EHT, WSIB, CRA remittances, T4s, and ROEs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- PCP certification preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
