The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, with significant autonomy and accountability for operating results.
We are looking for a true business operator - not a traditional corporate administrator, project manager or functional executive. The ideal candidate has successfully managed a SaaS business or operating division with full P&L accountability, built and led high-performing cross-functional teams, improved profitability and scaled recurring revenue businesses through disciplined execution.
This opportunity is particularly suited to executives who have operated as a General Manager, Business Unit President, COO, SVP Operations or Managing Director within a high-growth SaaS, vertical-market software or private-equity-backed technology company.
We are seeking a highly accomplished, hands-on SVP, Operations & General Manager with a proven track record of leading and scaling SaaS businesses with $5 million to $50 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
Full P&L Ownership & Financial Performance
- Assume hands-on accountability for the operating P&L, including revenue performance, operating expenses, EBITDA, profitability and cash flow.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, financial forecasts and performance improvement initiatives.
- Drive sustainable growth while improving operating margins, capital efficiency and financial discipline.
- Establish clear accountability for revenue, costs, productivity and financial performance across business functions.
- Partner with the CEO and Finance leadership to achieve operating break-even and long-term profitability.
- Identify opportunities to optimize organizational structure, resource allocation and operating expenditures.
Global Business Operations & Execution
- Lead and oversee day-to-day business operations across multiple departments, geographies and functional teams.
- Translate the company’s strategic objectives into actionable operating plans, measurable milestones and accountable execution.
- Build scalable operating processes, management systems and performance reporting across the organization.
- Establish a disciplined operating cadence with weekly business reviews, monthly financial performance reviews and quarterly strategic execution plans.
- Remove operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvements in organizational efficiency.
- Ensure the business operates effectively and independently with minimal day-to-day intervention from the CEO.
SaaS Revenue Growth & Customer Economics
- Drive execution of the company’s recurring revenue growth strategy in partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations and Customer Success leadership.
- Improve key SaaS metrics, including ARR, MRR, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), customer acquisition cost, CAC payback and customer lifetime value.
- Strengthen sales productivity, customer onboarding, implementation, retention and account expansion.
- Build scalable customer acquisition and customer success processes that support profitable growth.
- Improve customer experience, operational service delivery and customer lifetime economics.
- Ensure commercial initiatives deliver measurable financial returns.
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach and hold accountable a global team of functional leaders and managers.
- Build a high-performance, results-oriented culture characterized by ownership, accountability, urgency and operational excellence.
- Evaluate organizational capabilities, identify leadership gaps and strengthen management effectiveness.
- Recruit and develop exceptional leaders capable of managing their functions independently.
- Establish clear departmental KPIs, performance expectations and management scorecards.
- Make decisive personnel, organizational and resource-allocation decisions when required.
Operational Transformation & Scalability
- Lead initiatives to improve productivity, automate workflows and reduce operating complexity.
- Leverage AI, analytics and technology to improve business processes, management visibility and organizational efficiency.
- Standardize and optimize operating processes across international markets.
- Improve coordination and accountability between Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, Technology, Finance and Corporate Operations.
- Drive operational readiness for significant growth without proportionate increases in overhead.
- Identify and execute cost optimization and process improvement opportunities.
Strategic Execution & Executive Partnership
- Serve as a trusted operating partner to the CEO, translating strategic direction into measurable business outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, business transformation programs and operational improvement projects.
- Support the operational integration of acquisitions, partnerships and new business units.
- Provide timely, data-driven insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Take ownership of complex business challenges and resolve them proactively.
- Represent the company in important internal and external business engagements as required.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including significant executive or general management responsibility within SaaS or enterprise software businesses.
- Minimum leadership experience of 10+ years in private equity-backed SaaS companies will be strongly considered.
- Direct experience operating or scaling a SaaS business or business unit generating $5 million to $50 million in ARR.
- Demonstrated hands-on P&L ownership, including direct accountability for revenue, operating expenses, profitability, budgets and financial performance.
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Business Unit President, COO, SVP Operations, Managing Director or equivalent senior operating executive.
- Demonstrated success improving profitability, operational efficiency and recurring revenue growth.
- Strong command of SaaS operating metrics, subscription economics and financial performance management.
- Experience leading multiple business functions and managing senior functional leaders.

- Exceptional financial acumen, analytical capability, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to be highly hands-on, detail-oriented and directly involved in operational execution.
- Strong executive communication, leadership and organizational transformation capabilities.
- Candidates must have personally owned business outcomes - not merely participated in strategy, advised management teams or supported P&L owners.
Additional Experience We Value
- Previous leadership experience within vertical-market SaaS, healthcare technology, practice management software, CRM, marketing technology or AI-powered enterprise software.
- Experience within a decentralized software operating model, such as Constellation Software, Harris Computer, Volaris Group, Jonas Software or similar organizations.
- Experience scaling SaaS businesses from early commercial traction through $20 million to $50 million or more in ARR.
- Experience leading international or geographically distributed operations.
- Demonstrated success in operational turnarounds, EBITDA improvement or achieving sustainable profitability.
- Experience integrating acquisitions and managing multiple business units.
- MBA, CPA, CFA or other relevant advanced business or financial qualifications.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled business transformation and operational automation.

- Annual target performance bonus: 30-40% of base salary, tied to clearly defined financial, operational and business performance objectives.
- Total target compensation: CAD $325,000–$385,000 annually.
- Performance objectives will reflect measurable outcomes in profitability, cash management, financial reporting and operational execution.
- Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage.
- Paid vacation and free on-site parking.
- An opportunity to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership and make a measurable contribution to a growing global healthcare technology business.
