Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Developer to join our Operations Workbench team. You will be a key contributor to the development of our new, cutting-edge platform. You will apply your deep technical expertise to build and implement robust solutions, while promoting engineering best practices.
This role is for an experienced developer who is passionate about hands-on implementation and collaboration. You will be a core member of the team, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Hands-on Implementation: Work on tasks and stories as a hands-on implementer of code, either individually or as part of a pair (through pair programming).
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and refinement.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior developers, QA, and other team members to successfully deliver technical solutions.
- Problem Solving: Address technical requirements and articulate issues or challenges with the support of the team to ensure project delivery is not at risk.
- Learning Mindset: Show a strong passion for learning, with a focus on adopting best-in-class engineering principles and practices.
Professional Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience working in mixed/virtual/diverse environments.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Apache Kafka.
- Basic understanding of database design and development on an RDBMS platform.
- Familiarity with API development and application security concepts.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
