StarForce HR is hiring an experienced Raymond Reach / Walkie Forklift Operator on behalf of our client in Oakville.
We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious warehouse professional with hands-on experience operating both a Raymond Reach and Ride-On Walkie forklift. This role includes full-pallet picking, put-away, receiving, loading, using an RF scanner and regular work in a freezer or cold-storage environment.
Location: Oakville, Ontario
Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., five days per week, with flexibility to work up to six days per week as needed
Environment: Warehouse, including freezer and cold-storage areas
Responsibilities
- Safely operate both Ride-On Walkie (electric pallet jack) and Raymond Reach forklifts to move products throughout the warehouse.
- Use Raymond Reach equipment to place and retrieve pallets from warehouse racking.
- Use the Ride-On Walkie to transport full pallets between receiving, storage, picking and shipping areas.
- Pick full-pallet orders accurately and prepare them for shipment.
- Use an RF scanner to scan products, pallet labels and warehouse locations.
- Follow scanner prompts to complete picking, put-away and other assigned inventory transactions.
- Verify product details, quantities and locations against work instructions before moving or shipping pallets.
- Report scanning errors, damaged labels, inventory discrepancies or misplaced products to the on-site team.
- Complete pallet put-away and retrieval according to warehouse procedures.
- Assist with receiving, loading and unloading shipments.
- Perform assigned duties in freezer and cold-storage areas.
- Check loads for stability and handle products carefully to prevent damage.
- Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report defects or safety concerns.
- Follow site safety rules, traffic procedures and safe material-handling practices.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Work with the warehouse team and follow daily assignments from the on-site team.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of warehouse equipment operating experience.
- Hands-on experience operating both Raymond Reach and Ride-On Walkie forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification, with training documentation for both Ride-On Walkie and Raymond Reach equipment.
- Experience using an RF scanner for warehouse activities such as picking, put-away or inventory movement.
- Comfortable working in a freezer or cold-storage environment as part of regular duties.
- Experience with full-pallet picking, put-away, receiving and loading.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
- Attention to detail when scanning products, checking quantities and recording inventory movements.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., five days per week, with flexibility to work up to six days per week as needed.
