Support Canadian and U.S. corporate income tax compliance, including coordinating information required for U.S. federal and state tax filings.
Assist with special tax projects, including corporate reorganizations, voluntary disclosures, historical tax matters, and other tax planning initiatives.
Assist with Canadian indirect tax and U.S. sales and use tax matters, including audits, registrations, exemption certificates, and analysis of transaction-level information.
Assist with Canadian and U.S. tax instalment payments, tax invoices, and other tax administration activities.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve tax-related matters.
Respond to ad-hoc tax inquiries from Accounting, Legal, Procurement, tax equity investors, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, documentation, and the use of tax technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is preferred.
Relevant corporate tax, public accounting, or finance experience.
Experience with Canadian and/or U.S. corporate income tax, indirect tax, or sales and use tax is an asset.
