Before you start
Use the courtesy permit for a short need, such as visitors or temporary loss of driveway space. You can sign in with a town account or continue as a guest through the parking portal. Select Courtesy Temporary On-Street Parking Permit rather than a paid permit type.
The permit applies to the registered vehicle and location on the account. It does not reserve a street space or make an otherwise prohibited spot legal. If a street has a special timed no-parking restriction, contact ServiceOakville instead of assuming this courtesy permit overrides the sign.

Rules and exceptions
- The vehicle must be properly registered and plated. The general permit conditions exclude commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, trailers, vehicles towing trailers and inoperable vehicles.
- Do not park in a paid meter or lot space, in a signed two-hour zone during its restriction, during snow clearing or road maintenance, or in an event road closure.
- Move the vehicle within 24 hours; the permit is not street storage.
- After all 15 days are used, additional time requires a different purchased permit. Multiple unpaid penalties may affect permit issuance.
- When creating a new town account, activate its password link within 24 hours. Keep plate and contact details correct.
