Before you start
This is a winter planning list, not a list of rinks open today. Both refrigerated sites and all neighbourhood rinks are marked closed on the current town page. On-site notices are the authority for rapidly changing ice conditions.
Trafalgar uses first-come admission with no advance registration. Wallace and the neighbourhood rinks are unsupervised. Public skating and pickup hockey are different uses; the town posts their schedules on site rather than promising a year-round timetable.

Rules and exceptions
- At Trafalgar, admission is free as space permits. Standard public skating rules apply and helmets are strongly recommended.
- At Wallace, CSA hockey helmets are mandatory for pickup hockey and recommended for public skating. Organized team games are not allowed. Do not enter during maintenance.
- Neighbourhood rinks are unsupervised. After snow, clearing begins within 24 hours after snowfall ends. Do not use soft ice during above-freezing weather.
- A neighbourhood wanting another rink must request a location and maintain it itself.
- Never treat a frozen pond, river or lake as a town rink. Report a concern to 905-845-6601; call 911 if someone falls through ice.
